Probably not the best way to behave if he wants to get his chance like.

Completely agree, however i think most players who are frustrated act out in someway or form.

The fact he isnt in the team in the first place is bad enough, now he has to wait to have his chance... He must have shagged bobby's wife or something

he rejected liverpool and two other clubs to sign contract with us because the manager said he'd have more faith / more of a role for him this season.

and he has a terrible striker playing right wing ahead of him (and not even doing that well)

whilst being brought on with 2 minutes to go, i don't blame him for being frustrated.

He didn't though - only West Ham were in for him by all accounts, and the reason he signed a new deal was because waving his arse around for the entirety of last season failed to see a taker come for him from a decent sized club.

So Everton gave him the contract and will look to profit on him in an upcoming transfer window in my opinion. You shouldn't just get given things in life; you should work for them, and Mirallas hasn't done that for at least 12 months now.

I think we made a mistake and should have offloaded him for whatever price to West Ham so he can begin his inevitable attitude-driven journeyman waste of potential end to his career in earnest.

And yes, fully expect someone to vault this when he does a few stepovers and scores the odd goal, but that highlights the problem - people see a flair player and think he's the dogs bollocks, when in reality he's a luxury player who turns up far less often than he should do to be actually considered a starter and Martinez is 100% correct to not rely on him.

I can only go off what i'm told by my mate, obviously he could be wrong but he never really is, and it wasn't just west ham in for him. Though they offered decent money / first team place for him.

I still think he should be in the team based on talent, in all comps last season he scored 11 goals. Add to that the talent he does have when he is on form he is head and shoulders above some others in the team.

He is a luxury player 100%, but think its more down to Roberto's playing style (if he didnt actually shag his wife), the fact we have 1 billion wingers and play one most games (if we are lucky) means limited chances...

Id still take him over Naismith or Kone though - harsh on Kone because he has been playing ok, but he doesnt seem to be able to turn a game on its head in an instant like Mirallas could.

also i don't think you know what a journeyman is, he's played for four clubs.. that isn't a lot. 6-7 clubs and he'd be a journeyman then.

I said "start" it. His head is bigger than his talent. If he applied himself he'd be twice the player he is.

The likely outcome here is West Ham to a mid-tier Spanish side, then probably Turkey, then Italy and so on.

He has all the talent in the world, but i agree with you his application is sometimes wanting.

Ability wise easily one of our best players, and really should be playing ahead of the likes of kone and naismith when they're playing 'wide'

what he did agaist swansea was stupid and hopefully he's punished for it, because he took out his frustration on a player, and let us down in the process of that too.

but like i said, he already took his chance of getting back in the first team when he pulled us back in the barnsley game. And then subsequently was just jibbed off until the two minutes against swansea, which is harsh in the first place.

If he gets his chance properly and by that i mean not at the end of the game where he literally cant do a thing, i'm sure he'd take it.

But he hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip this season.

Ship both him and Naismith off in January and should raise 20m or their abouts, get in Austin and Yarmolenko and would be a significant improvement in both positions and both younger by a fair few years, wouldn't even have to dip into the money left over from the summer much which should suit Bill perfectly

He'd be in the team if he'd made himself indispensable last season.

Too many times he sulked last season and it meant we effectively played with 10 men. There's no point being brilliant one game then awful the next four at this level - and that has made in Mirallas what he is; instead of indispensable, he's unreliable.
