That's how Martinez seems to be thinking.

There is no way we can let him go in January. One injury to Deulofeu and we're left with McGeady or he pushes one of our midfielders out wide which clearly doesn't work. The way Deulofeu plays i think it's only a matter of time before a defender goes right through him to teach him a lesson. Martinez doesn't like to buy in january so i can't see us letting him go unless part of a swap deal.

I would be very surprised if he left in January or anybody else did either.
equally, I don't see anybody of not arriving either. The summer window could be very different

Its not really about the penalty now. Its about Martinez playing him and rightly or wrongly he isnt doing so and we are performing well.

With the Euros coming up i think hes off in Jan unless he forces his way in by then....

If we still have £15mil for Yarmolenko + sold Mirallas £10mil + Naismith £8mil and McGeady/Mcaleny we would have about £35million to reinforce the squad...that buys 2 top notch players.

He's a good footballer, but he needs to get into the team on merit. If he's not impressing Bobby, he can look in the mirror for the person he should blame.

I think Martinez should look to the majority of the fan base who still support the player and think about how he and Kev can resolve the matter together

Edit : just seen the link. I think he will still make signings in Jan. He has always looked to make signings....also can see him moving on someone if they are available.

All Martinez signings...Mirallas isnt. Seems to me for whatever reason he isnt seen as an option for the side or else why sign 3 wingers and play 2 players out of position ahead of him.

However, we have so many wide options now and after the disharmony last season i could see him moving on.
