He might have been a better option but that would be short sighted. Hopefully playing in the Championship will develop him and he comes back ready to compete or we sell him a lot of money like other teams seem to do. Wouldn’t that make a nice change

Clearly under heavy financial restraints, you’ve gotta say this fella is doing a fantastic job so far. We were told we had to be patient this summer cos we had to stretch a limited budget across a few players. He’s brought in two club captains and leaders at their clubs in Tarkowski and Coady for zero outlay in terms of fee, Vinagre in on loan, McNeil for a minimal initial down payment and it’s been revealed today that Lille agree to a small initial down payment for one of Europe’s supposed biggest midfield talents with the rest spread over next few years. If he gets the striker in we need then the bloke has seriously earned his corn this summer!
Still utterly stunned at the money we have spent personally.

If he gets in some attacking talent he gets my seal of approval for sure, he might get it anyway, cos ive very impressed with the players hes brought in, despite me not really being a fan of McNeil and Coady, I think both will do ok for us.

Thelwell has also pretty much signed every player this summer window.
We have the worst forward options in the league by far. He's not done anything yet.
