As for the Richarlison deal - which is a poor one for the club - it's quite clear that Kenwright was the main mover and shaker. This implies that Thelwell was sidelined or has gone along with this. Another Brands. Another overpaid puppet.

Hang on, if the DoF was being sidelined at Everton, surely the same applies at Spurs?

Was Kenwright having dinner with Patricii? No. He was having dinner with Levy. Chair to chair.

That's who does the deals, not the DoF.

Our misfutune is that an 8 Yr old wanting sweets off Grandma has more negotiation nous than Kenwright.

Richarlison going is absolutely nothing to do with Thelwell.

He is applying the strategy that he should.

Short term, get players in for free that make us competitive. Tarkowski and Lingard are huge upgrades on the dross we currently have in those areas.

Lingard was brilliant at West Ham.

Then spend the money we have on younger players like KLP, Dennis (Patterson, Myko etc) that will have resale value and have a longer term impact.
