Said the same at the tail end of the window.

21/22 season would be around breakeven as we brought in Gray in the summer for pocket change and then Digne was sold for the 2 full backs.

We also must have offloaded a fair bit off the wage bill along with James' fee.

22/23 season (this one lol ) we must be well up £30-40mil id expect with alot of loan fees and wages off the books too.

If Kean's £25mil fee comes off this years books then that would be an excellent season.

Overall those 2 seasons we should be north of £55mil in positive.

Another 'careful' and 'sensible' window coming up and 2024 would surely mean a big splash.

I hope Thelwell offloads Keane + Holgate + Maupay and one or two others and can bring some funds in.
Was going to do a thread on this if we secure safety ‘the gamble paid off’. Profit and sustainability has us stuck in a cycle of having to sell off assets just to stay within the guidelines of Profit and Sustainability. By not spending the Gordon money on panic signings in January combined with the Moise K funds we might be turning a profit for the first time in a while. Personally I think Pickford might still go. If Dyche/Thelwell can operate shrewdly again next season and maintain our premier league status then summer 2024 we would probably we ripe for investment at the same time we are set to move into the new stadium.

That being said I still consider it negligent not to get a striker in and it is 50/50 that we drop for me

Not reinvesting the money we got from Gordon was fortunate but only because this lot would have wasted it. Hopefully the Board will change over the coming months and they will keep out of buying players and won’t allow Moshiri to meddle either.

We need alot of deal if we stay up could need rb,lb, atleast another two or 3 wingers and a cf maybe two

I am still on the fence with him has improved the club structure but i am still 50/50 on the players he has bought into the club. This next window will be massive whatever happens

Every single window from now until the end of time should be careful and sensible.

Its funny that the same fans who hate on Big Kev, Rafael and loved Lampard are the same fans who cant admit our best players these past two seasons have been largely Big Kev & Rafael signings (Onana, Tarks, Gana, Gray) and Lampard was the worst manager we've had since Walker.

You can write what many of the boys on ere know about futbol on the back of a fag packet lol

Hard to judge Mcneil & Maupay mate as both have largely played under that useless dosser we've just punted. McNeil in particular has improved since Dyche arrived he just needs a target man up top to aim at.

Myko has been dissapointing from an attacking sense but does have some solid games defensively - I have no problem with him as a back up LB we just need a better quality all rounder coming in the summer.

King Salaman never got a chance with the boo boys - he had just come from China / had long covid and was working his way back to fitness before being thrust into the first 11 due to the worst injury crisis we've seen in many a year.

No way we broke even in 21/22 mate, im anticipating a loss will be somewhere between 60 mill - 70 mill. Thats including the Richarlison sale.

We should be back in profitability for 22/23, but thats via 40 million for Gordon and a couple of other bits and bobs.

26 mill GBP incoming million for Kean on the first of July, for 23/24.

The problem isnt transfer fees mind, so no point doing a net spend on fees vs income the problem is wages and amortisation thats the basis of our financial problems.

We continue to pay for the mistakes of the past with each current window, the necessity of selling Richarlison, Gordon and Kean is required to forgive our former sins but ultimately making very little headway beyond covering our losses for our trouble and just about breaking even, the tanker is beginning to turn around though.
