You made the point that Chelsea spent £600mill and couldn't get a decent striker. One is that I don't think they ever wanted one (have Lukaku too out on loan), and two is that they already have strikers at a good level.

….now I don’t know the global market, but he is paid a fortune to know it. Maupay is a ‘baller’ he spent £15m on, surely that money could’ve been better spent.

The absolute 100% priority for the past 18 months has been bringing in an effective striker. You simply can’t defend the indefensible, it’s abject failure of the highest order not to meet that requirement.
