….now I don’t know the global market, but he is paid a fortune to know it. Maupay is a ‘baller’ he spent £15m on, surely that money could’ve been better spent.

The absolute 100% priority for the past 18 months has been bringing in an effective striker. You simply can’t defend the indefensible, it’s abject failure of the highest order not to meet that requirement.

You defend this bloke just like you defend Benitez and Kenwright. To be perfectly honest, your judgement is bordering on weird.

Stopped reading when you said I defend Kenwright who I cannot stand.

Put the Sherry down Eggs man ! lol

Sells Richarlison, sits down and thinks

“I know how to replace his goals, I’ll buy 2 players who have scored less goals in their top flight career combined, than Richarlison during his time at Everton”
It was the same when we sold Lukaku….some bright spark decided we’d buy multiple no 10s to spread the goals from around the team, like we were prime Barca under Guardiola playing with a false 9. The reality is you need to replace the goals of a striker with, well erm…..a striker

Lampard relegated us mate no one else.

Dyche gets results at Bournemouth and at home to Wolves & Southampton.

His cult followers have a lot to answer for yet they deflect blame onto a DOF who had no money to spend.

🐍

Possibly.

He's had TWO transfer windows. We started the season without a striker under his watch. He bought maupay when he wasnt what was needed.
FAILED.

Again, just irrelevant.
He didnt address it. If one issue will get the club relegated its likely to be this.
He failed. Had a whole month.
FAILED.
And he had the previous window, plus six weeks to scout during the World Cup….if you can’t sign a striker after those 3 opportunities to scout and negotiate something is massively flawed. Whilst they couldn’t count of Gordon going, they would have known there was a fair chance as well. It almost verges on criminally negligent….we seem to ask our players and management team to perform, but the people above them don’t appear to think that those same demands apply to them as well

And I've said plenty of times he deserves criticism for signing Maupay.

But name me a DOF who has never signed a bad player ?

If you sacked a DOF every time they signed a dud you would be changing DOF every single season.

The reality is we are financially hamstrung and most good players cost money these days even high end Championship players are fetching £25-30 millions.

For me you cannot demand a DOF's heed until they've been given proper backing.

You defended Lampard who's ultimately sent us down.

I would be keeping a low profile if I was you chief...
Massive lolz from a massive edge lord

The man who sent us on this trajectory was your fat kopite love god, the man you lauded at for years. The man who replaced quality with gash, the man who thought Rondon could do a job

The man who cleared the club of everything, because of his massive ego.

Lampard was gash, nobody is denying it

But you, and you alone, defend every kopite at this club who cause issues so damaging it has impacted our stay in the top flight

From the start of the season until now. If he couldnt find one or two options in world football to cover for the one lone injury prone centre forward then whats the point of him.
The situation was and is critical.
FAILED.

Ask a Chelsea fan do they need a striker.

Recruitment has been a shambles for years and you're blaming the DOF who's been here less than 12 months who had to sell our best player in the summer to adhere to the rules mate.

Not one DOF could sign ballers in our position but let the children throw their tantrums.

Of course they do and they'll get one. Just not this season because they wouldn't have spent £180million on a midfielder and a winger.

Recruitment has been a shambles. But the idea of not getting 1 single player in any position after selling a player for £40million and releasing a striker in the whole month of January is pure incompetence that could cost the club it's premier league status.

And before Danjuma gets pulled up...if every club just gave up cos they lost a player like we did, no one would get anything done.

Koeman, Silva & your beloved all left us in the bottom 3 spots - not Rafael.

Your obsession with Benitez blinds you to the truth. All Lampard needed to do was hold onto leads at home against Wolves and Saints and we would be upper mid table right now.

He's the main reason if we go down.

Football Clubs take gambles and sign bad players all the time, for example taking a punt on someone who used to be good or brining someone in from overseas, but when that bad player is known to be bad and doesn’t suit the style of play we have the players for, it’s not really forgivable whether that’s at Everton or any other club. I think there have been a couple of ok signings (Onana being the pick of the bunch) but up front really is vital and this is where he has failed which has been massively amplified by the follow up failure to bring anyone in….it’s a double doosie really.
