Waiting for @ForeverBlue92 to answer a question

So the question is:
Who sold our creative outlets?
Who failed to replace this?

Brands sold Rodriguez
Sigmeisters contract expired

You cant replace Rodriguez without paying someone 150k+ a week likewise you can't replace Siggurdsson without spending £30+ millions on a single player look at what Villa paid for Buendia thats the going rate for a "proven" replacement.

To be fair, or even realistic, were there really any strikers available in January who would a) agree to join us and b) actually had a goalscoring record?
Maupay was a striker available in the summer, that's it, another body to fill the gaps, but apart from Ellis Simms and Lewis Dobbin coming back as back up, who could we get ? Whom did we miss out on?
Cannon scored today

It is the hardest position to get right I agree and January is a tough market. Yet the club had 5 to 6 months to find a replacement. They have had nearly 2 years really as dcl has been consistently injured. Now the club have loads of scouts, data bases and knowledge that we don’t have. You can also agree to sign players any time during the season. Look at Brighton that Japanese winger they signed for 2 million never heard of him but looks a player. I’m not giving this club any more excuses, they just need to get actual professional people in that know how to do the job they get paid for.

And we could afford?

Who are these strikers?

What is the actual point in asking people on a forum this? We do not get paid to scout and sign football players. You are never in a billion years going to convince me that there wasn’t a single option in world football that we could’ve brought in who would offer more than Neal Maupay and Ellis Simms.

So since the start of the season when the club didnt even have a striker to put on the pitch against Chelsea until yesterday, as a director of football he hasnt got in anyone to lead the line at the club.
Its not acceptable to have got nobody in. We know there are restraints. But its his full time job. Maupay was bought with the thought that calvert lewin was still fit. He wasnt an option to play central. So that doesnt count.
To get nobody is neglect.
It just begs the question. Whats the point of him.

I havent heard of half the players brighton have signed. Its why they employ a full time world wide scouting system.

How much would that Gyokeres have cost to buy in the summer? I’d be willing to bet no more than Maupay, and he’d offer us infinity times more. But no, Big Kev’s hands were tied and Maupay was the only option.
