I would put it this way: consider how much worse we would be if we hadn't addressed the problems that were already addressed. Chelsea and Villa probably blast us off the pitch, and Forest probably beats us. When you say recruitment strategy are you referring to players brought in or players we are linked with? The only player I have a question mark on is McNeil in terms of players brought in. As to players linked then, that's just a circus and an agent-fueled playground. DCL looked strong pre-season and I agree he is injury prone but I think we all have to agree that the defence following injuries needed an overhaul and take priority and we have limited resources - Add to the fact the injuries to Allen, Gomez, Mina etc make it next to impossible to move on, so that puts a strain on resources.
Surely it was Mr. Moshiri who said judge us at the end of the transfer window, mind you he has left Kenwright in charge of the club and he runs the Board unfortunately.

Sure he said judge us when our injuries came back last year. That went well too.
We are not set up to succeed. Indeed, one might argue the contrary. We are set up to flounder and flail.
IF we are able to add more creativety and goal threat before the window closes, Id say we’ve had a brilliant window. If we dont add, at the very least, a real goal scoring threat its much darker. Thelwell and Frank has done some good business so far and we are already clearly much harder to break down than we were last season. That alone will not win us enough points for a satisfactory season tho, and thats the issue we now face. Im certain Frank and Thelwell both are aware of this and working behind the scenes to bring in what we need. If they will be able to do that is a whole different issue.
