Not agreeing with our recruitment strategy and thinking we are disorganised and a bit chaotic, does not make me unhinged.

I personally find it completely impossible to fathom how so many people think we've had a good summer. The proof is in the pudding on the pitch over 90 minutes and we are dire in attack. I'm not shocked at all by what I'm seeing. I've warned people it would happen since the beginning of pre season.
I would put it this way: consider how much worse we would be if we hadn't addressed the problems that were already addressed. Chelsea and Villa probably blast us off the pitch, and Forest probably beats us. Chelsea and Spurs wait a year before acting on Gordon, so they can circle with the rest of the vultures once we get relegated to try and pick him up at 50% off.

I actually was defending you the unhinged part was in reference to dave launching into tangents about Rangers players not you.

When you say recruitment strategy are you referring to players brought in or players we are linked with? The only player I have a question mark on is McNeil in terms of players brought in. As to players linked then, that's just a circus and an agent-fueled playground. DCL looked strong pre-season and I agree he is injury prone but I think we all have to agree that the defence following injuries needed an overhaul and take priority and we have limited resources - Add to the fact the injuries to Allen, Gomez, Mina etc make it next to impossible to move on, so that puts a strain on resources.

You have to judge after the window, as to being dire in attack, is that DOF's fault or Lampards? |I don't know why he doesn't try Niles as an attacking winger or even a forward couldn't be worse than Rondon.

Tbf, while I hate our board with a passion, they did come out and say judge us at the end of the window. I'm annoyed as anyone that the failure to have a striker in by now has categorically cost us points, but out of his depth is jumping the gun a bit at this stage.
Surely it was Mr. Moshiri who said judge us at the end of the transfer window, mind you he has left Kenwright in charge of the club and he runs the Board unfortunately.

I hate that mentality/excuse.

The season starts well before the transfer window closes, so leaving your most vital signings until deadline day demonstrates how willing they are to sacrifice league points in the first month of the season.

Deadline day signings should be speculative/young potential/strength in depth style additions, not key first team signings that are actually vital to you staying in the league.

Everton aren’t a serious football club and it shows so clearly.

Sure he said judge us when our injuries came back last year. That went well too.

As others have said, we are not a serious football club. We are amateurish.
We are not set up to succeed. Indeed, one might argue the contrary. We are set up to flounder and flail.

IF we are able to add more creativety and goal threat before the window closes, Id say we’ve had a brilliant window. If we dont add, at the very least, a real goal scoring threat its much darker. Thelwell and Frank has done some good business so far and we are already clearly much harder to break down than we were last season. That alone will not win us enough points for a satisfactory season tho, and thats the issue we now face. Im certain Frank and Thelwell both are aware of this and working behind the scenes to bring in what we need. If they will be able to do that is a whole different issue.
