Yep. The concept of the DOF has to be embraced throughout and in the very fabric of the club which it hasn’t been. You may not have seen it (a link was posted yesterday) but from the High Performance podcasts that Jake Humphrey does, that Paul Barber comes across as a CEO who absolutely insists on an outcomes based culture driven through values, you just know with someone like him in charge the DOF model means something. I do wonder whether we could snap someone like him up….he just talked sense.

….the model isn’t crap, very few modern day managers work without a DOF.

What is crap is Everton not having the right processes in place (Kenwright & Moshiri involved in transfers, managers overriding the DoF), and appointing the wrong people in the role.

Went into the last game of the season with no fullbacks and no striker.

How the hell we've stayed up with no striker more or less the whole season is a miracle.

it may well go deeper than thelwell but all i see is another marcel brands. Taking the money and doing very little or nothing.

Our whole structure is crap. The DOF and other Directors simply provides cover for Moshiri’s poor decision making.

All eyes and scrutiny need to be on this guy now. He better do right by Dyche and not send us into another season woefully unprepared. Very very lucky he doesn't have a relegation on his hands because as the DoF he's to blame for the utter shambles of entering a season without purchasing a functional striker.

Bought Maupay, a complete opposite to Dom in style, made no sense at all if we weren't going to play to his limited strengths.

Do your job Thelwell, do it better.

Yes and left us with no proper striker up front too. It’s obvious we need a striker in January he bought no one in. Luckily Dyche managed to get us out.

Well it wasnt his fault that DCL cant stay fit, he bought two really good Everton players, and kept us up, so he has done his job.

O i agree with that, but we also got Maupay, ok that hasnt worked but overall Kev has done well considering the mess that came before him.
