Dunno. We should be looking at getting a Garner or 2 every summer over a prolonged period of time. In a few years we'd have a reasonably strong youthful squad if we did this.

It's just that we should have been making deals for other more key positions this year that didn't happen and that throws the spotlight on this type of deal.

Garner should have come in with an idea of bedding him in over a couple of seasons to let him settle in and prove himself with no pressure. Unfortunately we don't live in that perfect world.

I don't think that this is the deal to complain about when there's plenty more things far worse in front of our eyes.

He's made the decision to release Coady whether it was Dyche who made it I don't know. But without Mina and Coady, it does leave us a bit short
at the back. We have to trust that they're making the right decisions based on age, wages, injury record. And get in fresh blood. Otherwise it
will be a repeat of last season selling Richarlison and having no DCL. That's 2 areas need urgent work on straight away.
