That's not right is it.

DCL was due back from injury, and Maupay is an established Premier League CF.

Onana was a good signing, as was Tarkowski, Coady, Garner and McNeil.

We lost Richarlison and replaced him with Maupay. We lost Gordon and replaced him with nobody. This summer we have lost Mina and replaced him with nobody. We are much, much weaker than we were when Thelwell took over.

The signings under Thelwell are far more cohesive than the signings we made under Walsh and Brands.
Hard to know what’s happening. Under Walsh it seemed like a free for all with everyone wanting to sign dif
Oh I know mate and don't worry I'm not defending Kenwright and Moshiri as they are the root cause of our problems.

But this fella did have a budget last summer and I won't entertain anyone who says he's done a decent job when we were left so striker light it was absolutely criminal, not just 1 window but 2 windows.
would never happen at Fylde Macca. I know who I want as the DoF

I think his signings were fine bar Maupay last summer. But the failure not to bring in a striker in Jan was a massive mark against him. Now we are not privy to the reasons why. Danjuma bailed at the last minute is one reason.

Just listening to the Royal Blue podcast there. Someone on there said he's done a superb job, and one of the reasons given was cause he didn't sign Coady for £7.5m

The bar is underground.
More I think about that the more intrigued I am. I think the option was £4.5m which I find hard to believe we couldn’t have scraped together.
Kev obviously rated him and facilitated the loan originally having worked with him at Wolves, so does Dyche not rate him and therefore trumps the DOF’s opinion.
We’ve lost Mina, Coady and are allegedly trying to move Holgate out but only ‘gained’ Branthwaite, leaving us (potentially) with 4 C/H one of whom is more than likely to be covering F/B at some point, so we feel a bit light there imho, so would be surprised if we aren’t going to try to get another C/H.

We need a decent striker, he can't fail again, on a third window

But equally I'll judge him for his ability to offload the deadwood on big wages
If he can rid us of Holgate for money for example, it's a definite point in his favour
