What track record has he got to suggest he'll become this great success as soon as the other clowns have left? We all get the restrictions. Thats not even a dispute. But you're going on in this thread like he's completely void of any responsibility not addressing a major issue for over a full year. You still havent answered what the point of him is.

There isn’t a point because like Brands and Walsh before him, he isn’t allowed to do the role he’s supposed to. While the upper management is in situ, the DoF role at the club has no purpose

Simple he’s the shield to deflect the bullets aimed at his bosses, look at the aftermath of ‘Headlockgate’, he was the only club official left standing after the others hid like cowards

There you go. We got there in the end.
So he's just taking a wage for nothing over than being a patsy. We're back to the brands. Happy to just be on the payroll.

I don’t think this is the case, would you be happy getting overruled on a consistent basis?

No true but then one bid against himself for a now excommunicated player and the other had a board position but zero power to speak out against the owner’s mate suggesting players

Well we've been here before. Is thelwell going to come out in 18 months time and say he was undermined, like brands did. But still happy to take the money.
Whatever the opinion is about taking the money is another debate, as many would. But it still begs the question.
