God knows what they’ll do if DCL picks up a knock in the next 2 weeks.

Well he was available for the last 19 games of last season. Even those last 5 games he was key.

Definitely not on anywhere near the same terms. If he was willing to take a significant reduction I would keep him but I doubt that was realistic.

Its not confidence its asking someone paid very handsomely to their job.
Holgate would get in most championship sides or even lower PL sides this season, do what your paid to do and get the best deal for the football club.

Exactly so dunno why people are talking about him. He was our best defender, when fit, which was rare, whilst also being almost our highest earner for a club absolutely skint on wages.

Need a dozen games or so before deciding that. Deserves the chance to prove himself first.
