Yeah me too, considering we have absolutely no fit centre forwards currently at the club. Regardless of how you rate him as a player, £3.5m is not helpful to us in the position we’re in.

It's only £3.5m if he has a terrible career there and if he does well then we made the right choice... it's win-win.

Plus you've seen him play, are you really arsed he's not here to play?

This summer we need a centre forward and this summer we’re only getting £3.5m for him. Dyche has basically just come out and said we can’t afford to bring anyone else in. As limited as he is, he was a body that did actually come on the pitch and earn us a point in a game last season. That body is no longer here, and even if that’s just one point lost over the course of the entire season, that could make all the difference to our league status.

You're tripping if you think we'll miss Simms. We are no weaker without him. Even if he got sold for £15m we wouldn't be getting £15m this Summer to spend on replacements... but you knew that.

Letting Warrington Simms Mills go before our squad is in order is ridiculous.
Getting them of the wage bill or the small fee we receive for Simms isn't going to make a difference in the transfer market for us, they are the least of worries. Meanwhile we have Holgate on 72k a week offering nothing to the club, Gomes on over 100k a week offering nothing to the club.

We may have lost Mcneil for the start of the season yesterday keeping Mills until the last minute would of been a wiser move.

Looks like we are having an academy clear out rather than a first team clear out, that's ok if we are in a good position with the 1st team squad.

I think the squad is slightly better offensively now than last Summer but weaker in central defence (unless Branthwaite stands out).

Not for me.

We know Maupay doesn't work in this Everton team. Calvert-Lewin has had another season to dispel any hope he can find fitness.

Gordon wasn't great but he's better than what we have now.

I think every window under Thelwell we've finished it less equipped to fight relegation.

It feels very scatter gun, very desperate... Inept.

It's evident from their comments that the squad and the manager don't have confidence and know we need signings too.

Who's buying the bold?

Well we've upgraded Gordon for Danjuma and Young.

But we've lost Mina and Coady.

Can't see how this squad is worse than last Summer's offensively. Defensively I'd say neutral with Mina's availability.

The problems are way above him, and chairman and owner should take the blame. But equally there is no evidence he is any good at the job either, and I don't know what his credentials are to be DOF at Everton.

Completely wrong. The £3.5m will be incredibly useful in going half way to paying off our 3 board members that were jettisoned. Just another £3.5m to find.
