It's obvious he can't. He is going to keep taking his huge salary until he leaves and will say his hands were tied blah blah it wasn't his fault.

“I’m just a line manager bro” seems to be able to pull the wool over our imbecilic owner’s eyes and make him think he actually does something.

He's now in the process of overseeing three relegation seasons in a row.

He keeps his job because he's Moshiri's butcher cutting away at any meat left on this Everton squad.

The calculation he's probably advised his master on is that there's maybe enough poorer teams in the PL this season to survive again.

That's how we're being run.

Protest and survive.

Those have been the areas that Thelwell has had quiet success in , rebuilding systems behind the first team.
How on earth can you say he’s had success in these areas yet in the very next sentence say that it’ll take time to see the results?

The results could (and probably will) be a disaster.

Whether he’s good bad or indifferent, the fact remains that we are completely unattractive to play for, Lampard was a poor manager but his name and playing career was a pull, now we have nothing apart from a 3/4 built stadium,
You can also say players will be drawn by the PL but we’re set up again for a dog fight and can’t pay the wages we did a couple of years ago.
It’s going to be a long season this.
