My point wasn’t that we had loads of good centre forwards sat in the academy, it was more that we’re in exactly the same position as we were in February 2022 regarding centre forwards, but also minus an academy.
Well the original post was "we had DCL and Rondon, now we have DCL and Maupay"
So I asked you which academy striker was meant to help support that. Last good one was Rooney.

Not that it was my point in the first place, but Cannon or Simms are no worse than Maupay. Rondon is actually better than Maupay too. So yes Thelwell has made us worse in that department.
We still have Cannon though, for now (managers choice). Simms however is equally as crap. Rondon wasn't from the academy so unsure where that fits in with your first post.
Issue will be our finances and how we are trying to stage payments.

It fits in with my first post because the point of the post wasn’t about the academy at all, it was about how we are now worse off than we were when Thelwell took over in several areas of the club. I’m not sure how you’ve managed to create an argument out of this but I’m not really surprised either.

It might well be but there’s an underlying stench of old romanticism playing a part. Makes me wonder how many transfers we could have seen had a certain bullshine artist had left along with the other clowns a few weeks ago
???? Your first post below. I know you love to fume over things but Thelwell has done nothing negative with the academy in comparison to anyone before him. He's actually getting fees for academy players now which is a bonus.
He's had a few windows now and still not brought in any attacker who improves our final third.
He's out of his depth.

This is the Kevin Thelwell thread, this may shock and stun you but we are allowed to talk about more than one of Kevin Thelwell’s failures at any given time.
I think we got a terrible return on Simms personally.
He'll score more for them than Gyokeres did next season.
