When we did the new manager poll, I voted for Howe, he did a great job with Bournemouth, didn’t get huge money to spend and kept them up for a long time trying to play good football. For some reason, just because he was relegated, most turned their nose up at him, rewrote history and said he wasn’t good enough for us, as if none of the previous seasons happened. A tiny number of people in the poll wanted Howe.

We just don’t have any intelligent ball players in the midfield/final third. What you’d give for an Artera, Piennar or a Donavon - even the sluggish Siggi or James.
I agree, they’re so bad I don’t think any manager could get a tune out of this lot. When we appointed Benitez though, I’d far rather have gone for Howe.

Done an encouraging job so far. Made some much needed changes at academy level and also has worked well with the manager to address some glaring weaknesses in the squad, in his so far only transfer window. If he next addresses the attack like he has done the defence and midfield then I;m confident that after the next 1-2 windows we will improve further.

Not true though is it. It's just our players can't finish the ones he provides them. For example against Newcastle, Gray went round 2 Newcastle players whilst driving forward from inside his own half, put it on a plate for Iwobi who missed the ball completely. And then against Fulham he put in a great cross for Calvert-Lewin who did what he often does and failed to score.
