No we didn't but it's something that in future we should look to do a bit more when it comes to players and managers. We have a habit especially with managers of just looking at people with PL experience, that's a very small and limited market, it's the same with players, you pay an english premium in this country, there are better bargains/options abroad if you are just prepared to take that risk/gamble.

If we spend all of January scratching around for attacking options before signing a Maupay II type player I might just explode. He needs to have offers agreed and contracts ready to sign on January 1st, like well run football clubs do.

Lampards annoyed me tonight but seeing Richarlison leave and replacing him with Mcneil and Maupay is sly.

We need players who can hit the back of net and create not slugs who can barely run

Said it a couple of months ago and I’ll say it again, a team that struggled to score for 18 months and our highly paid Director of Football thought it was acceptable to leave us with these attacking options

Alex Iwobi - 16 in 194

And Neal Maupay, who at best is a very low level premier league player.

How questions are not being asked of this is scandalous

Vinagre - Miss (should have seen him more)
Maupay - Miss (been awful)
McNeil - Miss (square peg for a round hole)
Onana - Jury out (likely to turn into a good player)
Gana - Jury out (good start, gone off the boil)
Garner - Jury out (hasn’t done anything of note)

These are just early impressions, not definitive judgments, but it’s not great, and this is ignoring the huge hole he’s left in the squad.
