I think Doucoure is a disaster, every time he’s come on the pitch this season he’s been woeful can barely trap or pass a ball. I think Lampard has had enough of him, he’s got his first choice three in midfield and Garner is first reserve. I’d look to get Onana in holding mid, Gueye as his back up, Garner in one of the other spots, Iwobi at 10. That would leave us needing two players to compete with Garner and Iwobi. It would allow us to finally get rid of Davies Doucoure Gomes permanently.

Depends if we can bring in someone cheaply or on a free...Doucoure and Gana would make sense as rotation options until summer 2024.

Im not sure Onana has enough tactical discipline to play DM in this league, personally, not yet anyway.

Theres 20 players named and I'd say at most 5 get extensions.

Thelwell will have a lot of work to do and a massive opportunity with wages off the books this summer.

From the 2023 list you would imagine a permanent option will be taken on Coady. Can't make an argument for anyone else.
