Either the DOF is responsible in which case he deserves to be sacked

Or the DOF has no authority to conduct transfers. In which case his role is pointless and the role should be dispensed with by the club.

So basically he should go.
This x1000. Legit 100% correct - either the DOF deserves to be questioned for his transfers, or his role is pointless. Brands got a lot of hate (some justified), yet I don't think he ever really had much control. We're supposed to believe KT has been given the reigns by Moshiri who has backed off interferring, yet he seems to be utterly immune from questioning. Mind boggling.

If he doesnt provide 2 goalscorers in the next fortnight or so, he should be fired

Never forget we went into game 1 of the season without an available forward. Not enough was made of that debacle at the time.
Some that did on this forum were quickly dismissed by the majority of the fans...that we were panicking, all was under control, we'll be alright, etc...many were under the spell of lampard and Co probably still on a high after our come back against Palace at the end of last season. I remembered time and time again lampard defending the summer transfer policy despite having no striker to play and being awful in those first few games. In fact we were lucky in many of those games and we should have less points that we have today. Yet the board is indecisive, and seem to have decided to give him more time when he should have been gone before the world cup.

It's OK, he's got a 120 point plan. I don't really care about 118 of them as long as the other 2 are signing a striker who scores goals and a creative midfielder who creates lots of chances.

Yeah I felt very much in the minority last summer but I could see these problems a mile off.

As I said many times , our fans are obsessed with new signings and dont even care who we sign as long as they get a shiny new signing.

Our summer business was the biggest shambles under Moshiri and we were mocked and sneered at for saying it at the time. Unfortunately I cant say I'm surprised we are this bad.

You see the personal abuse this fella receives based on one transfer window in the job (working under financial restrictions) and wonder why the footballing world banters our fanbase these days.
He sold our best attacker in many years (probably since lukaku) and replace it with maupay and mcneill...I do mistake like that in my job and I am out. I know transfers are never a sure thing and a player can develop in different ways. However you do not need to be an expert in football maters to understand that richy is not equal to maupay + mcneill...the only good thing he has done is onana which to be fair was probably more lampard than him.

Whoever it was who thought Maupay and McNeill should be bought as replacements to fill the massive void left by the departure of Richarlison, shouldn’t be at the club!

I still think maupay isnt a bad player. He's just not the answer with nothing else.
I looked at the official premier league squads today. It was sheer embarrassment. Under strikers nearly all clubs had 5 & 6 listed.
Everton had calvert lewin, with a red cross symbol for injured. And neal maupay.
2 strikers. 2 bloody strikers. And one of them crocked.
What a tin pot run outfit.

I'd trust you to do a better job than him mate to be honest. Would Maupay and Mcneil have been on your wish list? Mine neither.
However he's not the manager so probably never imagined Maupay would become our spearhead supported by 2 x wingers who are taller than him. On the free's and lones he's done well, and i mean that......but i'd keep the Everton cheque book miles away from him.

And the argument I keep hearing is that they need at least a couple of transfer windows...yes to be fighting for europe, not to be fighting relegation. One transfer window should be more than enough to create a team that it's capable to survive the drop. Problem is that if we only sign one or 2 good players per window and 2 or 3 bad ones, for sure that you'll need many transfer windows which is time we do not have.
