On top of Coady, Tarkowski and Onana were top signings.

The issue is everyone in front of Onana.

lol
You think Onana has done anything in the last 5 games? You are blinded because he’s a nice guy who clearly has a bond for the club. That doesn’t excuse the fact he’s so far been a very very poor signing.

Didn't understand the role when Walsh rocked up and have seen little evidence since that it works for us. Our DoF have wasted approaching 1bn and left with a squad that would struggle in the championship.
What does Thelwell actually do apart from move the deckchairs on the Titanic as it sinks

Via the sky story

Premier league ranking:
7th Fouls won 21
6th Tackles 37
4th Fouls conceded 22
6th Aerial duels won 24
2nd Duels won 91

Club ranking
1st Tackles 26
4th Interceptions 10
6th Ball recoveries 59
14th Forward passing % 29.2
9th Passing accuracy 80.8

Looks like the stats of a defensive midfield anchor to me...

Onana might be a good signing in the long term but he's hardly hit the ground running which is what we needed.

See my post above...stats wise prior to the last game he was up there at the top end of the league defensively as a midfield player.

95% of clubs in England have a DOF. If it isn’t working for us then it’s because it’s being managed badly

If Maupay was his idea then it doesn't bode well for the future.
He is the complete opposite of what we needed to bring in. A small, slow striker with a very iffy scoring record who can't hold the ball up.
I must admit I'm not sure what Maupays attributes are apart from apparently " putting defenders under pressure and work rate".
Given how we play we needed someone who could effectively shadow Calvert Lewin and they had to have aerial ability ( why sign Mc Neil otherwise) , and be able to hold the ball up. If they had pace and ability to score regularly that was a bonus.
As it is Maupay fails on every level and presumably that's down to Kopite Kev.
So, you can sell Pickford to bring up a much needed striker and creator but you have to worry if the DoF is choosing the replacements.

You can do your research on FIFA. The game stats are not wrong though. I warn you McNeil was poo back in June or July.

Not prioritising forwards in the summer was the biggest miscalculation the club have made since we allowed Koeman to replace Lukaku with 4 immobile and mediocre number 10s.

How's he still in a job?

Why is there no scrutiny on his pathetic performance?
