The numbers reported must be based on some factual information though mustn’t they. You’re acting like they’re just figures that have been made up by the media. Clearly they’re there or thereabouts what we will end up paying for them, if not exact and to the penny.

If you think that his attention span and focus is that short that he can only solely spend time on first team matters then it proves he his well and truly out of his depth.
He’s there to manager progression across all footballing departments, and there has been very little improvement anywhere.

Did we pay 40 mill for Dele then? Thats the figure some in the media were using at the time, may as well just take it as fact. When Richarlison signed fees reported varied from 35 mill to 50 mill, seeing as we are just slamming the club all the time let’s just say it was 50.
Fees in the media are obviously based on something but there’s a huge variance between what the fee might be at the lower end and what the maximum fee being reported is. There’s also fees being reported in pounds that then turn up in other outlets as euros, that can be a big difference too,
Absolutely nobody reported that we paid £40m for Dele. It was a deal that “could rise to £40m”. Poor example.
I’d say it’s almost certainty that we ended up paying all the add ons for Richarlison

But a stable club and a stable 1st team trickle down to the academy.
@Neiler even said we've churned out players but your argument is we haven't developed an idea of how the academy play.
Well...if they play and develop talent a certain way that doesn't fit with the first team...those players aren't getting in.
And the club is a mess from top to bottom to even develop that side of it.

If any of them were for Champions league football, European football, Ballon D’or nominations, pl golden boot wins etc. then none of them will have been triggered. Perhaps some linked to appearances, and making the Brazil team. We are just speculating, so you can’t say with ‘almost certainty’ that we ended up paying all of them.
Exactly, a deal that ‘could rise to 40 mill’. It doesn’t mean we paid 40 mill, the same way we may not have paid 50 mill for Beto Chermiti and Maupay just because they were the max figures being banded about.
