Needs sacking as soon as possible.
By the same people who will then get a 4th DoF in, who also will not work out? Would you keep the. DoF model or dispense with it? I know people have a go at him, but no one can say with any certainty whether he is the issue or whether its’s finances, Moshiri, BK or a combination of all three or four. Personally, I am not sure where he is the issue, but he should certainly resign at the very least. If he is doing his job effectively (and I recognise that is debatable) and his performance is subject to interference from above (as one agent alluded to in particular) he should resign his position.

thelwell is a bigger problem than the board, not fit for purpose, money is there, but he is incompetent and needs to go
How do you know this for a fact? Outside of the fact we haven’t recruited an appropriate number of attacking players, how do you know this is purely down to Thelwell? What is your evidence? He seem to be a Piñata for some people (without the sweets), people just blindly battering him without looking at the obvious.

Seven failed managers, our third DoF, horrible transfer record, which by and large didn’t just start at the beginning of Moshiri’s reign, but at the start of Martinez’s second season. The two common denominators throughout that period are Kenwright and Moshiri. Agents and ITKs, have given examples of DoFs targeting other players whilst those two wanted PL ready players (Maupassant being the specific example cited). During this time, in the last three to four years money has been comparatively tight.

Thelwell, may well be part of the problem but without knowing exactly his operating conditions we do not know.

Considering the board is basically Kenwright and Moshiri, the root cause of all our woes, I can't agree with this. I suspect Thelwell is constantly trying to operate with both hands tied, due to the pathetic mismanagement at the top. Any deal he gets over the line is a bonus. Not saying he's doing a great job either, but until the cancer of Kenwright is washed away from this club, no DOF will be able to operate on a level playing field.

How do you know I'm wrong. Like every comment on this site it's an opinion.

But your opinion has to be based on something? Or is just because he is the Director of football? I have given circumstantial examples as to why I believe there is doubt whether he is 100% culpable but you stated he is more responsible than the board. I am not disputing this, just asking why and on what basis you have formed this opinion?

Should be sacked for not signing attacking options in time for the new season

Clearly out of his depth, or doesn't have the authority to do his job.
Or, we either have no money or the money we do have we can't spend due to p&s.
So therfore he has a hard time getting players in.
Plus seems nobody wants to pay us money for any of our players.

So he has no money right spend, no money coming in. What's man supposed to do?

If he isn't being given the tools and authority to do his job then he should resign

In terms of outgoings, maybe clubs would offer money for our players if we weren't so willing to loan our players out while paying their wages. We set a really terrible precedent with that. Why should teams offer actual cash for our players when we've shown we will cave in negotiations and hand out our play on loan if they cover a fraction of the wages.

If money is so tight, why did he spend about 50m last summer on midfielders when were desperate for goals. Why did he do the Beto deal only now when we've been interested for over a year.

I can't see any measurement under which you can say he's doing a good job.

Think thelwell and his team seem to be doing there way obviously within the financial restrictions of the club ,moshiri thankfully seems to have stepped back and chairman bill seemingly indisposed through I'll health
