2024/25 Kevin Thelwell

I’m edging towards maybe just having a bit of a clean sweep of DoF and manager , but it makes me laugh when people criticise Thelwell over and over again, when the two DoFs prior to him had a lot more money to spend, a big chunk of those transfers yielded little money back in return. For instance this is Marcel Brand’s list of transfers in under him…Dyche has been awful, but this is a disgraceful rogues gallery of transfers in. @Eggs
For me, it all depends whether he has managed to get us compliant with psr last year. If we have breached again, then he needs to go as this was now his year. Should find out around the 15th.

He has also shown his knowledge of strikers is appalling.

Why would any player come here in our current state?
We can't offer them high wages, we can't offer them attractive footy, we can't offer them an attractive manager, we can't offer them decent team mates. Dire situation.

The thing we can offer players is time on the pitch (if Dyche allows it). At best, they get picked up permanently and rebuild the team. At worse, they showcase themselves as an audition to their next team.

One of our most recent younger signings has barely kicked a ball for us. Our young RB is being kept out the team by a 40 year old RB and a 35 year old RB. The manager we have repeatedly decries younger players as 'not ready' for PL football and his brand of football eschews any individual skill and creativity in favour of joyless anti-football.
