You'd think if they've given Moyes a +2 year deal that he'd want certain assurances of people around him. I'd imagine a lot of ex players would be happy to be a part of his staff and back to the club.

It'll be interesting to see if Weir decides to leave Brighton.

Everton just haven’t got to grips with the DoF role at all.

The DoF should be choosing the coach that aligns with his vision of football. A coach who puts a tracksuit on and coaches the players.
Everton keep appointing ‘managers’ who like the control themselves.

The only thing I can think of is that the club think very highly of Weir and Moyes is the draw to get him to Everton? It could be pretty straightforward but, as we all know, Everton don't do "straightforward".
