2024/25 Kevin Thelwell

Quite funny seeing him show Moyes around, bet he's just saying I know yea to everything!

It’s sounds like 3, our loan options are limited, right?
No further domestic loans allowed. Not 100% sure on rules surrounding overseas loans, but we have Lindstrom and Mangala currently, so there's two out of however many we're permitted.

Hope that there may be some suitable players out of contract in June who are interested in coming, and whose clubs would interested in a small fee to cover an early transfer. Walker-Peters is one who should be of interest.

I think the scouting a recruitment has moved on exponentially since Moyes time before.
I suspect there’s so much data available for a much wider pool players that a manager simply doesn’t have time to keep on top of it AND move to get out and make contact while doing the day job.
Equally the days job has moved on too with so much analysis to go through that even that element of it is more time consuming.
Moyes was very much a pioneer in his first stint of what scouting has now become. Suppose time will tell if he still has an edge. Love to believe he has poster on the wall of lower leagues players he has shortlisted...

There is no limit on from EPL "foreign loans", the limit only applies to "local teams" England and Wales. Although FIFA state you cannot have more than 6 loan/temporary transfer total.

No resting on your laurels, Kev.

You've once again shown off your vast knowledge of the managerial market. Time to put those contacts to use on the playing side.

The sooner he goes the better, bought absolute flops for decent money, and signed a player who was already out injured for months, who then came back and got injured twice in his first few games. Do we use Dof’s as some kind of tax write off, the amount of money we waste of failures.

Like Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus, Coufal, Soucek?

I’ll discount all his rubbish ones as you discount all the rubbish ones Thelwell has made, seems fair.
They'll never get every signing right, that goes for Moyes, Thelwell and every other club

But Moyes did make some good signing for West Ham and us previously, Thelwell has had his hands tied, there were links to decent players but we didn't have the money. Hopefully they can work well together to bring decent players in.

Hi mate, please let me know how much he paid for Paqueta and how much Lyon paid for him --around when i posted we should sign him and later Guimaraes. Then the difference he paid for Kudus with what Thelwell was going to.

If he cant do better than me or Thelwell then...

Bowens the only top player hes bought at good value.
