Barkley, Rooney, Dowell, Sigurdsson, Lookman, Vlasic, Klaassen, Onyekuru, Mirallas..... a lot of decisions will need to be made in January / over the summer.

Thing is, Dowell scored a couple of crackers for us in pre-season, and the Dutch footballing genius still decided he needed to sign Sigurdsson, as we were well short in that department

Good lad but worth remembering he doesn’t do this every week and it’s a, slightly, lower level.

It’s a great loan move for him and I can’t wait to reap the benefits next season.

Certainly brings back memories of Barkley's loan at Sheffield Wednesday before he really made his mark for us in Martinez's first season.

The reason this thread has been a bit quite prior to tonight is that posts have been going to attrotel,s excellent Young Players on loan thread, which has some excellent write ups from Forest fans . They love him , well most of them who recognise he’s a class apart but also point out his failings to drift out of the game after about 40mins.

Tonight was one of the few times he’s lasted the full 90mins this season. I’ve seen Dowell scoring wonderful goals at u18, U23s and at first team level , I would say tonight was the best I’ve seen him play at any level. He’s always had the bits and pieces , the clever flicks and runs tonight he put it all together not just once but many times. He left the guy he was marking to power in a header which was cleared onto the bar , but that was about it fault wise. . Really pleased for the lad putting in a performance like that.

A legend is born ?

A Phoenix rises ?

We'll have some team with all these kids coming through
Makes me want to vomit the volume of players we have purchased clearly we needed to have a longer term plan.

We are never going to break the top 6 spending money alone look at spurs tried for Willian Chelsea just come & take him same with Liverpool with Sanchez any player who can make the difference is likely to join a club above us.

Youth with smart purchases was always the way forward.

And this is exactly the reason he was sent on loan. Really looking forward to him next season.

Exactly. We are in the golden generation of young players, so we need to take advantage of it next season. Vlasic, Onyekuru, Dowell, Davies, Lookman, DCL, Baningime, Walsh, Williams, Holgate, Connolly and Kenny... that is quite a list.
