But its "money in da bank", 10 goals and 17 assists is pitiful, but its 10 and 17 more than Dowell has so far.

Personally ive seen it so many times its unreal, player gets talked up, player sees out his career in League One.

The only way we can judge Dowell is when hes played 10 or 20 full games in THIS league, till then its a total guess.

People have already declared him the Wool Messi.
Agree forums, podcasts professional fans all mean there is far too much over analysis which leads to opinion becoming fact.

One thing I would say though is if dowell plays 103 premier league games I’d be astounded if he doesn’t annihilate them stats.

He needs to toughen up which he will do he’s not ready for the premier league currently but will be one day the bits that aren’t ready aren’t learnt and could be taught to anyone just a matter of time.

Ormskirk Ozil.

If for some reason the lad doesnt make it, 100% Koeman gets the blame.

He didn’t help he didn’t speak to any of he youth when he first took the job they were all disillusioned perhaps he had reasons etc who knows it’s in the past.

The day koeman was sacked builders were in finch farm changing the door layouts as he wanted no youth contact with the first team.

But he had a load of them training with the first team......

We also had most minutes of teenagers in the league.

But anyway, hes gone now, we move on.

I see a player and I just *know*. You've been told before: you see the crescent, I see the whole of the moon.

Clearly Dowell has an excellent understanding with Kenny. Interestingly he's the 'opposite' type of player to Lennon.

Which do you think would be the more effective partnership?

Personally id go with Dowell over Lennon every single time. My view is they wide players have to pose a threat or else you play on the back foot.

Pickford...kicks to Bolasie
Bolasie rolls the ball under his foot
Bolasie kicks the ball and runs down the line
Head down Bolasie does a step over and looks inside
Seeing no-one he runs further down the line
Head down again...he punts the ball randomly towards the area

Where does the ball go?

Answer A: To the opposition team
Answer B: A random area of the pitch
Answer C: To the 1 or 2 outnumbered Everton forwards

Answers on a postcard.
Had more assists than anyone, more chances created (he was literally setting them up on a plate).

We were absolutely atrocious away from home and he would've relieved a helluva lot of pressure in those games.

All we did was punt it to the donkey...

Look at his career goals and assists mate...your eyes are deceiving you.

Is there a stat for making defenders crap themselves and opening up space?

Stats are one thing for sure, but he was doing well in his very short period with us.

Bolasie in the championship
09/10 16 games 1 goal
11/12 23 games 1 goal
12/13 43 games 3 goals
Bolasie in the Premier league
13/14 20 games 0 goals
14/15 34 games 4 goals
15/16 26 games 5 goals
16/17 14 games 1 goal

Kieran Dowell
17/18 22 games 8 goals

If Dowell scores 2 more goals, he will have scored double Bolasie's career championship goals
If Dowell scores 7 more goals he will equal Bolasie's career total in premier league in championship combined

I know @davek likes Dowell...how about compared with 'Goal machine' Yannick?

Lets see how the Wool Messi gets on in a proper league, but you need to stop looking at raw stats, I saw with my eyes the difference he made to our attacking player, but keep ignoring the bigger picture.

Anyway, this is the Dowell thread, if you wanna talk Bolasie he has his own thread.

I'm merely comparing the larger version of McGeady to England u20 world cup winner and current England u21 player Kieran Dowell who is currently making a splash in the championship...he's performing triple axel somersaults compared to the Bolasie Bellyflop

Im fairly sure I could score 3 a game in the championship, colour me impressed when hes performing in a proper league.

Dwight Gayle scored 23 goals last season in that league, hes scored 3 so far in the Prem, thats the level.
