I agree with Kenny and Dowell, and I really like Tom who I think will grow to be a great player, but I'd like to see Klaassen given a run..........

Agreed, he'd be better off coming off the bench with the occasional cup run out. I don't get this obsession in loaning players out to leagues below their ability. We'll never produce any homegrown talent for the first team without bringing them through ourselves.

It's usually a prelude to selling them. I can see why Dowell would be upset if the story Roger Milla is advancing here is anywhere near the truth, which I suspect it is.

I see Klaassen as a signing we need not have made. At the very least Davies should have the shirt and have to lose it. He proved himself last season and to be demoted to make way for a player like Klaassen is a kick in the teeth.

There may be an awful lot of games this year, he will get plenty of playing time.....

No way Davies should be benched after what he achieved last season. That is a stunt most reasonable people would see as unfair.

And at 19!davies is going to playnpossibly 60 games.
He's not going to get injured or suspended.
Same applies to Klassen
It's squad depth and rotation

It's competition for places. We need it badly - we've had players automatically starting for years on end due to no squad depth.

Davies is still a kid at the end of the day. Competition will make or break him, and at the very least take the pressure away from him having to be a lynchpin of the team every game at 19 years old.

Then there's no reason for any of our younger players to feel aggrieved. However they apparently do seem to be is the posting of others here is correct.
