Argos dont make them mate, just sell them.

And its pretty easy to determine why things arent built to last any more.

Not so much about quality, but a little rant here about buying good, and not receiving then. What are our rights?

Sorry to go on, but my mum and dad *working class, both on their pension now, also I help them out every month.

My Dad purchased something from a builder's merchant, for around £150. Got a notification from a courier saying it was delivered and signed for.

Nothing was delivered to my mum n dad's. My Dad went to the merchants and they said he had to take it up with the courier service.

I went home today, and he told me this and of course I was bubbling. I looked online for advice, and apparently we are in the right as he didn't recieve it, even though it was signed for.

Anyone got any advice?

Also, why is it acceptable for these couriers to take a puck of a pacel on the floor, instead of taking a pic of the person holding the parcel

My mum n dad haven't got a lot of money, but this type of thing really gets to me. Any help would be great

The person sending it us responsible for it till it's in your hands.
What's to stop the delivery fella just signing anything and taking it home.
Same if it's left on a doorstep it's the seller responsible till you pick it up.
If they paid by card contact the bank and do a charge back.
Saying you havnt got the goods

Order anything over £100 on a credit card. If it's not delivered use section 75 to get the money back via the credit card company.

It's a dead useful bit of legislation that essentially means anything you buy on credit over £100 is also the credit providers responsibility.

Used it for flight refunds when airlines have arsed me about refunding after they cancelled during covid. Also on a car hire website for mis-selling.
