Knobs fell off ..a disater before CHRISTMAS.....

Thanks for everyone's help, I really appreciate it

The thing that is winding me up the most, is someone has signed for it, with no pic 😂

They need to not take a pic of the parcel on the floor, but take a pic of the person receiving it, with some sort of ID in their hand, along with proof or address ID, it's not that hard. That way, we can identify the little scruffs
Pic in front of a clearly open door combined with GPS location recorded is sufficient. Taking snapshots of peoples ID or even people's faces is a data protection nightmare which would increase the cost of delivery by an incredible amount. And for the life of me I can't see the point in signatures anymore as they mean absolutely nothing.

The onus remains on the seller unless they can clearly show evidence of safe delivery.

Argos dont make them mate, just sell them.

And its pretty easy to determine why things arent built to last any more.
The wonders of YouTube - repaired the old Knob WD 40 the old bar which connects to it for 24 hours plus the igniter switch on the oven - Bingo it's back to working this am - my son's a genius - £11 wasted on P&P for a plastic Knob though ,,,,, :(

Get one of the new rechargeable doorbells which link to your mobile - Some Amazon deliverymen scared stiff of them - wonder why they try to hide their face & put parcel on the door step & run off ? Little do they know got a 4K camera on them as well which gets their van number .....
New Knob just arrived - old one is now a spare after the repair plus the back-up Air Fryer oven arrived this am ;)

I used to work in delivery so still know quite a few lads doing it now there's these cameras everywhere. The biggest thing they don't like about those camera doorbells is that the connectivity is often crap, they take ages to actually connect and half the time they just don't work. Of course customers are completely unaware of that so assume the worst about the people delivering.

Individual items are allocated to routes so there's no concern about van numbers or plates being spotted on camera - Companies like Amazon knows who's delivering exactly which parcel so getting their face or reg plate is nothing to be bothered about in that regard. People generally just don't like having a camera shoved in their face while they're working - especially in the social media age where every little mistake or embarrassment is uploaded for all.

Or other reasons....
