Koeman: "Barkley looking for a new challenge"

I just don't get his thinking. The Champions League clubs aren't exactly tripping over themselves to sign him (well publically that we know of anyway)

I honestly reckon he'll end up at a West Ham/Stoke. And I reckon he'll be pretty good there aswell.

Was heart broken when Rooney left, not remotely arsed about Ross, just hasn't cut it consistently for us.

I don't think Ross does either to be fair.

Hasn't he realised yet that he hasn't done enough for a CL club to pull out all the stops to sign him? He's pinning his hopes on Spurs paying enough but that's looking less likely by the day.

The big boys aren't going after him like they were for Rom.

Or maybe 'a new challenge' means 'an easier challenge'.

Currently looking for a picture hahaha

A bit like Lukaku in that I'd excluded him from thoughts on our first team weeks ago. If Swansea are holding out for £50 mill for Siggi, we should be holding out for at least £35 mill for Ross an England international and hope a bidding war develops. I would have said more for him but it's not an outright sellers market with 1 year left on his contract and he wants to go therfore we won't fight to keep him at any price.

Not really.

He couldn't get in one of the worst England squads for generations, despite playing week in, week out for us.

For good reason - wasn't good enough.

Can understand Koemans characteristic frankness, and attach no blame to him, but silence would have been the best policy untiL he is sold.

Actions speak louder than words here and we dont do ourselves any favours in trying to maximise the fee if we make it known we have no option but to sell.

£30m max for him, and possibly less if this goes to TDD.

I think Ross knows his position is unattainable here. Ronald Koeman has done this to him subliminally without anybody realising. He has never got on with him since coming to Everton and made a scapegoat out of him last season. He has backed Ross into a corner and made him feel like he has to leave. Koeman is looking to have two or three players in that no. 10 role ahead of him and Ross knows his only way to go is out. Well played Ronald, you have played a blinder.

Or, you know, fight for his place at his boyhood club...if he feels he's got the talent and determination.

The picture you are painting is of Koeman not thinking he is quite up to it but still giving him the chance to prove it, and Ross bottling it.
