Myself, I ,m not a moyes fan but blowing 6.5 million on Kone for a club that lives hand to mouth is a problem for me.
Has this price been inflated becuase we can,t match the money down required by Wigan? I wonder.

I think his point may be Kone is not that good rather than Jelavic is boss.
and all three of Jelavic, Kone and Anichebe are worse players than Yakubu aswell.

Come on lads theres plenty of time for transfers . Kone although 30 is a good player who has nobbed all over us when ever we played agaisnt him . Hes the kind of player we need of the bench if jelavic carrys on aimlessly running all over the shop then kone comes on and injects some pace and hopefully a goal . Just think if we had them 11 more goals he scored we would have being in Europe by now . Hopefully we keep baines and fellani add alcaraz kone and that Joel Robles get rid off heitinga and try our best to get Honda and we would have a team that could compete for 6th to 4th
If DM had done the honourable thing and signed a contract his compensation would have paid for KONE! I bet the other backroom staff 2 went scot free as well! were I bet we have to pay Wigan a compensation deal yet again for our new backroom staff DW is showing us what a proper chairman conducts shrewd business not our luvy dovie BK and his board!

I like Kone. the figure quoted might be slightly more than I expected but low wages and maybe a player going the other way would make this a sensible signing and maybe a really good one. if he isn't consistent or in first team all season but wins five or six games we would have drawn imagine the difference that would have made last season
How does he? He scores 1 in 3 and is off his first season in England, just a few more than those two you mentioned.
If he gets second season syndrome then he won't score at all!
He'd be a decent stop gap player for around £3m but to pay double that for a player his age and with his goalscoring record is really poor business IMO. But we'll see, none of us know for sure - the same way that everyone writing off Jelavic right now haven't got a clue what they're talking about either.
