Kone Signs on 3 Year Deal

Regardless of if people want Kone or not this is now massive for us.

Moyes put up with this ****e for years, seeing targets go to other clubs due to finances.

Constantly having to rely on players handing in transfer requests in order to get our man on the cheap. This Kone deal reeks of us beleiving we hold all the cards and being peasants towards wigan, Whelan is playing a blinder and i dont blame him.

This is RM first signing, and at £5M should be possible if your in the ****ing championship! OUr board need to sort their **** out or seriously **** off now cos enough is enough

When Bill said he had a couple of bob for Martinez, it's exactly what he meant...two old shiny shillings.

Bill Kenwright: stabbing Everton in the legs, arms and chest since 1999.

We all know what will happen: if he signs for us he will be terrible, if he signs for Newcastle he'll be awesome.

Life is a roller coaster you just gotta ride it.

Also, people are getting worked up that a club has reported interest in a player we are reportedly interested in. Could be that absolutely nothing has happened and we aren't interested?

mate it,s 5m ....5 fkin million.....Sheedy has been saying for ages that we have haggled over the payment structure to the point that someone else sniffs a chance.

£30M extra tv revenue lad, we'll be sound this year lad, we're ****ing brewstered lad......

Has anyone considered that there may be a reason for them wanting to structure the payments, i.e. keep some more money aside for another target perhaps.

I know it doesn't fit in with the panic mode around here, buy just maybe there is a reason for it.

I suppose this explains why Whealan was keen to make the negotiations public. In the time it takes Everton to put together one of their famous structured deals another club could always come along and offer to pay the seller's original price up front.

This is why Martinez was a smart appointment on Kenwright's part. Someone like Laudrup would have quit by now.

this isnt about Kone anymore, its about our new manager being delivered the first player he wants to sign by the board.

And i cant for the life of me see why so many people cant see that just because they dont want Kone?!?

If we dont sign him were a ****in joke of a club. Were we not 6th hightest in terms of revenue last season? So what is fundamentally wrong at the club that we cant scrape together £5M?

Im seriously worried.

For me now, anyone who even thinks for a second that we can keep Baines and Fellaini is deluded. We clearly havent got a pot to piss in, I mean at the press conference when BK said 'ill give him a few quid to spend' did he literally mean he had a few quid? Like he has a slummy jar in his bedroom or something!

It's actually amazing we've ever signed anybody ever with all of this phantom bidding going on.
You are also stating this as though its some widely held belief, when it just makes you sound incredibly paranoid.

Well it happened twice as recently as last January, and there have been plenty of occasions before that.

It,s smells like the last 13fkin years of incompetence during transfer windows.

People rally need to stop offering up excuses for the club when history is against them.

Its £5M! We shouldnt have to structure £5M!

Probably because it's the only way they can ever finance deals without selling first.

I don't know why anyone is remotely surprised.

Quote... "it has been made public that we have made an approach and we’re still dealing with it." along with he'll be a big asset... "he was impressed with Goodison Park" etc...
