Last Film You Watched

It’ll be the usual instantly-forgettable let down - brainless action set pieces stitched together with a rubbish and hole-ridden plot. That’s what movies are these days. Look at the most successful franchise going - Marvel. It’s all repetitive, overblown trash with no heart or substance.

Enjoy.

No, it’s just an incredibly poorly written, inconsistent load of trash. It’s an insult to real Star Wars.

Woke up at the crack of dawn, couldn’t get back to sleep so did an earlier gym trip then got back and decided to go for a true classic of the 80’s.

Predator. That film is still as good now as it was then, arnie at his best

That new one is going to make me weep
judging from the trailer, I think I'll be needing a hankie too

Black Klansman

Important story that needs to be told in an era where the far right is becoming accepted and normalised.

But as a film, it's alright and nothing more.

Really? I thought it was superb. Good performances, looks fantastic and the tonal shifts are expertly done and would have felt erratic in less gifted hands. And the final few frames left the cinema in absolute silence.

Yeah that is good!! I noticed some label called Death Waltz Recording Company put it out on viynl few yers ago, i bought a copy of the Twins Of Evil soudtrack LP from them which is decent, might have to look out for this one as well
Try the Vampyros Lesbos soundtrack. You could hazard a guess as to what the film is about.
Anyway, the music is of its time(1971), but there's nothing wrong with that.

Over to midsomer murders
Just discovered those earlier this year, has led to many Brit detective binge nights. Lewis, Morse, Shetland, DCI Banks, Scott & Bailey etc...

For anyone who enjoyed the Clancy books/movies with Jack Ryan, you should enjoy the Amazon series "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan" that just premiered this weekend. Basically a prequal of Ryan before he was introduced chronologically in Patriot Games. Moved from the 1980's to present day, with some changes to Ryan, Greer, but nothing that detracts

Incredibles 2, didn't really enjoy it, mostly because the voice of the mum was hugely annoying. I had to check it was the same person that played her in the first one as I didn't remember her sounding so irritating in that, but apparently the same person.
What stikes me about mom was the auto eroticism being evoked when she dons her tight fitting outfit with her exaggerated backside emphasised by the wearing of the thigh high leather boots.
Has no place in a children's film.
Well that's what the bloke with the long macintosh a few seats away was saying

I sometimes wish I could watch a film without knowing anything about the intricacy, time and flat out creative dedication that each one of them is constructed with.

It doesn’t excuse a bad film but it sure does help you understand and accept what statements the film makers are trying to make.

The main actor John David Washington is Denzel's son. He actually started out as an American football player and had a brief stint in the NFL. I think he is really an underrated actor
