Last Film You Watched

Finally got round to watching - The Predator last night.

I really enjoyed it.

It`s not a classic like the first one and it wouldn`t get in my all time top ten, but for all it`s flaws it`s still an entertaining film.

The first 20 mins could be condensed into 5 mins and the female scientist is irrelevant, however the rest of the film worked for me.

It almost blended the one liners of the first film and the slapstick violence of the second together.

Boyd Holbrook in the lead was excellent, the rest of the misfits he teamed up with worked well together and the pace of the film was good too.

It`s not meant to be taken seriously, it`s just a big, loud, Scfi film, that`s entertaining.

@Dylan have you seen it yet ?

Good god man

Disappointed here friend

Just finished watching 'On The Beach'. A 1959 movie starring Gregory Peck, Anthony Perkins, Ava Gardner and Fred Astaire. It is based on the 1957 novel by Nevil Shute of the same name.

God is it depressing.

Nuclear war has happened and the northern hemisphere is dead. A US Navy submarine pulls into Melbourne. They estimate they have 6 months before the radiation starts killing people. They mount a mission back to the west coast, to test the air and to investigate a mysterious signal emanating from San Diego.

Everyone dies. Everybody. It does a wonderful job of conveying the hopelessness of the situation by having the remaining populace queue for suicide pills

Saw this over the weekend. Unless you take joy in watching hilariously bad movies, stay away from it. Terrible, in a watching Everton-under-Sam-Allardyce kinda way.

Quite possibly...no, definitely..the worst film I have ever had the misfortune to watch. Cage has been in some shockers...but this! even Allardyce couldn't have reached this level of bad... Like the title says...Leave it behind!

Venom, and it's really good. Pay absolutely no attention to the nonsense negative reviews. The fact that it's getting slagged off by no-nothing critics in the MSM is further proof (not that any is needed at this stage) that they'll slaughter anything comic related that isn't associated with the MCU, unless it's Deadpool or stars Hugh Jackman.

Wonder Woman??

One of the first Hollywood pictures shot darn under.

HOLD THE DARK

Some times, some films should be put very gently back into their film cannisters, cradled for a moment and whispered to that everything was going to be ok, that soon it would all be over. Laid lovingly into the barrel of a very long, very powerful gun, and shot into the Sun, never to spoken about again, on pain of a similar fate.

This is one such cinematic entry.

A Star is Born 2018 - WOW didnt expect it to be that good. If it wasn't for the Mrs i would not go watch it as she is a big Gaga fan. Everything about the movie is great from the acting to the music.

Every single review calls it a hot mess. I’m glad you enjoyed it, but this agenda you think is in play here is actually just people doing jobs for a change.

And they're perfectly entitled to do so. They couldn't be more wrong to call it a "hot mess" but whatever. They're free to say any film is rubbish and I'm free to say they're either incompetent or on the take.
