Sexuality - a brief kiss then a walk through a gay bar sounds like most of the forum down The Lisbon. He was a gay icon and they skated round it like they had a problem with homosexually.

AIDS - A doctor visit with the worst scene EVER when he sees the other patient in the hall. They don't show his strength and struggle with the illness while he found the love of his life.

I don't know the full Freddie Mercury story and I haven't seen the film, but I thought this movie only went up to July 85? In which case wasn't he only diagnosed after that?

Yeah it does but it's so protective of Freddie and Queen when the reality it wasn't like that.

According to Sacha Baron Cohen who was attached to the film to play Freddie but left after a member of "Queen" had a disagreement about the film, he added: “A member of the band—I won’t say who—said, “You know, this is such a great movie because it’s got such an amazing thing that happens in the middle of the movie.” And I go, “What happens in the middle of the movie?” He goes, “You know, Freddie dies.” … I go, “What happens in the second half of the movie?” He goes, “We see how the band carries on from strength to strength.” I said, “Listen, not one person is going to a movie where the lead character dies from AIDS and then you carry on to see how the band carries on.”

I mean that's what they had to put up with they protected their legacy when the real story would be better.

"Rise of the Footsoldier" - Better than I imagined it was going to be. Very moody and dark, lots of absolutely savage violence and criminality. Goes off on a weird tangent halfway through and drops the main character for the supporting three and plays out a "What if" conspiracy theory ending. Not seen the sequels but was surprised with this one. Definitely doesn't glamorise crime and geezers. The wig on the bloke who played Tony Tucker was comedy gold, he was about 20 years to old for his character, shocking casting. The bloke who played Carlton Cole was very good however and Craig Fairbrass was absolutely livewire as the psychotic Pat Tate.

Take it you liked Bohemian Rhapsody!

Honestly horrendous film which is being biggest up by a soundtrack. Take away the music and it's is a paint by numbers biography which doesn't bother to address any subjects:

Racism - they say call him a Pakistani derogatory term 3 time for what? Just to point at racism but not say anything event which shaped him or affected him.

Woefully dull too it's on for over 2 hours and all you hear is we came up with this song like this BORING!

This review nails it with big words

It’s not a horrendous film.

It’s not woefully dull.

There’s my review. If you think I’m watching a YouTuber review it then you’ve got another thing coming.

It's boring all the glamour of a rock and roll band is sucked away into cheap location shots and dot to dot of how Queen songs came about.

They Wikipedia the whole movie, it's step 1 then step 2 then step 3 etc. It had no emotion AT ALL he gets AIDS and the brush it off like he has a cold and the doctor scene with the HEYO to him was hilarious and so misplaced in the one passionate moment and they chucked that it hahaha!

Plus WTF was the mention of Flash Gordon.

A stinker sadly

Just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean it’s bad for everyone.

A hell of a lot of people like it. Including me.

This was good. Small Town America has to come to terms with personal tragedies and personal failings whilst finding surprising positives in those that they, hitherto, had little regard for.

Available for a short while on Sky Cinema.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, you`ve started him off again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
