Last Film You Watched

..just watched Darkest Hour on Sky. If you like history, politics and the like it’s an interesting watch.

Agree. Winston Churchill - the 1940s political Sam Allardyce. The man you reluctantly went to when all else had failed. In contrast to Allardyce, Churchill's instinct was to attack. They had to plead with him to shore up the defence. A great risk taker who (eventually) reaped the greatest of rewards. The film ends with a quote that will ring true with all Evertonians. Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Amen...

Enter the dragon.
It has it all, racism....sexism....plankism.
Cheesy as wotsits, fried with extra strong chedder with a heaped spoon of cheesy sauce..
By christ I wish more films tackled such topics as plankism....they just dont hit back...
Great film for anyone who hasnt watched....unmissable for those who have.
Bruce is boss !!

Went to see this last night - Overlord.

American soldiers sent on a mission behind the German lines, stumble across a Nazi laboratory, where they are doing very bad things.

80% war film, 20 % horror.

Takes a while to get going, but when it does, it earns its 18 certificate !

Remove brain and enjoy.
Just seen it. Definitely a lot better than the one star review I read from a particularly sniffy critic.

I thought it got going very quickly but then falls into a bit of a lull in the village and never quite hits the B-Movie gorefest heights it should but definitely worth a watch. Fun movie.
It`s got close to 90% on rotten tomatoes.

I thought going for an 18 cert was quite a brave thing to do too, as they`ve cut out a big chunk of the audience who like this type of film.

It is was it is, remove brain and enjoy.

Saw it in the cinema yesterday.

Its BRILLIANT...cant take your eyes off the screen...

Gf and friend with me...all of us were riveted.

I just saw A Quiet Place. I enjoyed it and thought it was very good. I don't watch thriller or horror movies much, but I liked the storyline, especially the scene they use in the beginning to grab you! haha
Went to the flicks to see this, really enjoyed it, proper edge of the seat stuff.

The scene with the nail was riveting and stomach churning at the same time

Yet to see it, looks pretty good.
Not quite sure I understand the premise though, So you have spent months teaching the children to be quiet, So very quiet, Even breathing heavy could have complications...soooooooo quiet. Shhhhhhhhhh....
Your kids barely whisper to each other shhhhhhhhh..
I know whispers the Dad, lets give sonny Jim the NOISIEST FECKIN TOY IMAGINABLE....NEEE NAAAR NEE NAAAR...WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO.
hmmmm....if I was Emily Blunt, I would be asking whether this family actually deserve to live.....STUPID !!!

Saw Operation Finale, about the capture by Mossad of Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in 1960, last night.

Very good. From a historical perspective if I were to poke holes in it, it's that Ben Kingsley (aged well into his 70's) plays Eichmann in 1960 as well as his flashbacks to the war (when the real Eichmann was aged in his mid-30's).

I went to see Peter Jackson's new film 'They Shall Not Grow Old' in FACT last night. Obviously it's a docu-film, but definitely worth watching - it's on BBC2 tonight.
