Last Film You Watched

The Taking of Deborah Logan: Horror about an elderly mother with Alzheimer's, who's daughter lets a documentary team come and film after her behaviour becomes strange in order to pay house/medical bills, but it seems there's more to it than just her illness. Pretty creepy handheld style filming. Was quite good. Worth a watch if you're in to slower horrors, less reliant on monsters and jump scares.

Just been to see Ray & Liz, very well made , great performances and period details in the sets but by god it was bleak. Like Ken Loach and Terence Davies being really down together. Recommended though.

One of my favourite horrors ever that.

Under the Silver Lake. Slow and completely impenetrable Lynch-lite, but very atmospheric and intriguing. Andrew Garfield very good in the lead role. As it's by the director of the excellent It Follows, it feels a lot like when Richard Kelly followed up Donnie Darko with Southland Tales i.e. most people expecting a dazzling follow-up will think WTF? And it will alienate anyone looking for another It Follows. It's very hit and miss, but I'd rather sit through something which has big ambitions - even if it doesn't come off properly - than yet another formulaic film.

I quite liked it. It shows how good David Lynch is at being David Lynch. Think it if was half an hour shorter I'd have been even more happy with it.

My gf loved it, Mulholland Dr. Is one of her faves and she is attracted to Riley Keough more than she is me after watching the TV version of the Girlfriend Experience so it was an easy one for her lol

Yeah, it really channels that whole weird LA thing in the same way Lynch did with Mulholland Dr. & Inland Empire, although obviously not with the same skill. But the whole idea of an alternate, hidden side of the city is an interesting one. I was a bit disappointed Riley Keough wasn't in it a bit more. And I agree it could do with a bit sliced out of it, as it was a bit too sprawling.
