Watched Scott Pilgrim vs the World again last night. Still loved it. Funny and unique.

I didn't mind the first two either, it's a great concept that could have come straight out of a cult 80's movie, they didn't do enough with it, Tarantino should have took the ball and ran with it.

Just watched Lawn Dogs, as usual Rockwell was ace in a very average film...a good premise unfortunately let down by supporting actors being trite and predictable. Rockwell is always ace tho so it gets a pass.
Also watched ....ok spell check time "hereditary"...I think ??
For a modern horror film, it had moments of possible greatness, only undone by a modern sound score....why oh why do films of today have to explain a jump scare by means of a brass blast, or eerie violin shrieks....leave the feckin bits silent, the greatest horror film ever made ...the exorcist left the scares in the head and on the screen, ears should be secondary, it gives too much away.

The first was very good, mainly for the frankly terrifying boy ...'want to play daddy' ?? Jesus that bit was horrible, I'm deffo going to check it out.

Great film, Edgar Wright is ace, and I think his directing/editing style fit Pilgrim's aesthetic perfectly. Hot Fuzz was on a couple nights ago as well, had to stay up past my bedtime to see the end!!

Wasn't hectic really. The last 20 minutes is good and the little girl is really great.
As @Sharpattack says, the last twenty minutes is when it all starts to happen and the rest of the film sets the scene for the the end.
It`s creepy, rather than in your face and relies on old fashioned suspense and atmosphere, rather than CGI. ( which I really like )
It didn`t frighten me in anyway, but it`s a film that gets under your skin.
