Hustlers with Jlo...

She shows her bum a fair bit but she looks very masculine these days...other girls in it are a bit rough as well.

Not much of a plot...probably ok for a date movie.

It Chapter 2.

Its a well made film, but where it works with the kids it doesn’t work on this level with adults. The threat isn’t real; the characters can take a moment to have a heart to heart while being chased etc. The clown seems less mischievous this round, the point of it all lost on the fact that he knows that they know how to beat him yet he never changes his game plan. Theres too many holes, too much exposition and Pennywise seems to eat everyone except the people come back to kill him. Theres some interesting jump scares great casting and plenty of laughs but ultimately not as good as the first.

@McBain any movie gossip you can share with us

Well - theres Mortal Kombat shooting in South Australia at the moment. They’ve sucked up a bunch of crew which made it tricky to crew the show i was working on. That was a show called ‘Fallout’ based on the British Atomic tests at Maralinga in the 1950’s. We had built an army base in a old reservoir locally (Sydney)and then moved to SA for desert exteriors. Should be a good show - 6 eps and biggest name attached is James Cromwell.

Baz Luhrmans ‘Elvis’ starts soon up on the Gold Coast. Seen a few crew head up there to start on that one. Tom Hanks, Harvey Keitel and some youngster Disney TV star a The King. Filming next year, and if we know Baz it will probably take 2 years and triple the budget.

Marvel has moved into Sydneys Fox Studios and will spend the next few years dominating the only proper Studio space left in Sydney. That will be ‘Shang chi’ followed by ‘Thor love and Thunder’ The blowback from the Fox / Disney merger has pushed Mortal Kombat and Elvisand any other big film to other states. This has a created a huge problem for the NSW government because they’ve also shut down the Film complex at Callan Park (in the Sydney there were 3 film studio / offices now only 2. 1 now Marvel / Disney have taken over.) Typically at the studios you could put several productions in there - but Marvel is so big it takes up the lot.

Mad Max ‘Furiosa’ is on hold until Miller finishes ‘Three Thousand Years of Longing’ an Epic about the Ottoman Empire or something. The Designer of Fury Road told me he’d put some farm paddocks on hold for it but wasn’t sure when they’d get a green light. I’m sure Miller was in some financial dispute with Warner Bros but it hasn’t soured the relationship.

You did warn me and say not to everyone's taste.......

I am a real fan of foreign films, but this one just wasn't my thing. Always good to watch little known films though just in case I bump into something that I think is a real gem

If you ever get the chance try and catch Nine Queens (Nueve reinas) awesome film from Argentina
I've seen that mate. Yeah TBH it wasn't until I read about burning then rewatched the trailers that I got it. It's long and slow
