Watched a similar pile of poo the other night - Patient Zero

Only watched it due to Stanley Tucci being in it.

Post apocalyptic vampire nonsense.

Just goes to prove that even good actors need to put food on the table.
Not 100% if I have seen it,just started V wars but not holding out too much hope, around 25 mins in and its pretty much had every cliche in it

Virus released from the ice - check.
Hunky Doctor in lead - check.
Attractive Vampires - check.
Every female actor attractive - check.
Stereotype geeks - check.
Failure to take virus seriously - check.

It`s like painting by numbers lol

2001: A Space Oddysey

I know all the film hipsters out there will crucify me for this, but I just can't see why 49% of the people who've rated this at Letterboxd gave it 10/10.
I started watching yesterday, and about an hour through the film nothing had happened and I fell asleep. I tortured myself by rewinding what I missed and watching another 20 minutes before I gave up and went to bed. Today I figured I'd finish the film, even though I didn't really want to.

It did get better when Hal got introduced and I actually got invested in the story for like 45 minutes. Then I struggled to stay awake through the last 20 minutes of the film as it got just painfully boring again. I'll give it extra points for the beautiful cinematography and the fact it was probably mindblowing back in the 60s.

5/10
