You know when I was watching it I thought that "I'm not hearing any annoying background noise". No crunching, no phones, no movement, no chatter, absolutely nothing. I'm half tempted to go and watch it again in a couple of weeks.

There was a moment, not anything in particular but maybe 10 minutes in where I just thought 'This is a masterpiece' and just enjoyed the ride without questioning anything. I don't say this lightly, but on reflection it's probably the best War movie Ive seen.

I read an interview/profile of him recently which I annoyingly can’t find.

He explains why he has made the films he has. Basically has full control, can cast all his mates and film in the Summer so his kids can be on set.

Also doesn’t like doing the grittier films as he wants his family to be able to watch.

Seem to remember Eddie Murphy saying something similar to explain why he started just making rubbish family films.

I know you have to take richlists with a pinch of salt but Sandler is apparently worth over $400m. Not bad to make that kind of money making films with your mates!
 

Last Action Hero. Such a ridiculously underrated movie. Makes me laugh out loud a good dozen times throughout every time I watch it.

"Iced that guy, to cone a phrase" and "May I speak to the drug dealer of the house please?", where he shoots the guy in the closet because "there's always a guy in there", "I'm the famous comedian, Arnold Braunschweiger."... just so much Arnie gold in it.

Tongue in cheek, sends himself up something rotten, entertaining and just great fun.

One of those films that you can watch time and time again.

Dead snow is great,completely daft,I have seen,so above,but honestly cant remember much about it,Troll hunter is a decent watch
