I didn’t even give Joker a 10 and I bummed that films head clean off.

1917 gets a 10 for choreography and set pieces/one shot takes but not much else. The dialogue was average in most of it as was the character development between the two main characters (didnt really care for any of them), was more emotionally invested in JoJo Rabbit than this.

7/10 overall

Pretty much my take on it to. First 20 minutes I thought it was gonna be one of the best films ever but it starts to muddle along for a bit before picking up again. I found some scenes were odd and like you say the character development and dialogue were kind of weak overall. But a lot of it is amazing no doubt. Has to be seen on the big screen.

How you can't come out of 1917 not completely blown away doesn't compute. We are Evertonians though I suppose.

Bombshell. The Loudest Voice does it much better. Watch that instead.

Doctor Sleep. Interesting film with some incredible ideas but let down badly in the final third.

Just been to see 1917. Firstly if you want to see it then definitely catch it in the cinema and on as
big a screen as possible as it looks amazing.

Thought it was brilliant in general. There was only really a little bit where I thought it lulled and got away from itself a bit but wasn’t a big issue at all.
