Last Film You Watched

That rings a bell now. Do you do the MUBI subscription that includes a cinema ticket every week? If so, does it work well?

I don't think he was quite as shocked as the young couple who spilled in a few minutes before the film began, clutching giant buckets of popcorn and other sweets & drinks. I think they must've thought "hey, let's see a film in IMAX", but from their reactions it looked like Godard's latest video essay wasn't quite what they'd banked on; Bumblebee it ain't. I'm sure the miserable old sod would have loved the idea of this going on.

Weirdly, Cineworld also have it. Although the nearest one that has it is about a 45 min drive from me, so I'm still weighing it up.

They very recently changed the subscription and now you have to pay a bit extra. It would still be worth it if I had a participating cinema close but I don't so could only use it now and again.

I'd if you have a cinema close and free Tuesday - Thursday it is definitely worth it.

Cineworld used to do a monthly unlimited card for £13 and there was one right outside my office showing films at 440. Used to go a couple of times a week and have the whole place to myself. Then they changed the film times and also they show a lot of rubbish.

I can imagine it was a really good deal before the comic book invasion.

Fyi, there's a website called Feverup.com that does lots of discounts etc, inc for Cineworld and Odeon. Don't know how much difference it will make in your area, but near me (SW London) I get tickets for £8.50 (or less) instead of £12/13...
Thanks for that - hadn't heard of that site. £8.50 a great price for the London area.

They still do it, but it's now £18-ish
Men Woman & Children interesting film that's probably outdated already.

I liked this - saw it at the cinema, even though it didn't get much of a push (and, strangely, was never released on DVD in the UK - as far as I know). Sandler was good in it.

Got to admit when I saw he was in it I nearly gave it a miss. He can act but has been in some real rubbish.

Bit of this later on Film4, outstanding film.
