Last Film You Watched

Dead Mans Shoes.

Got to be my favourite low budget film of all time.

It stayed with me for a long time after the first time I watched it, even now I really have to be in the mood to watch it.

Paddy Considine`s finest performance ( imo )
I see your (admittedly great) Dead Man's Shoes, sir, and raise you another outstanding Considine-Meadows film in the form of A Room for Romeo Brass:

The Gentlemen

Veers between everything good and bad about Guy Ritchie films. Very entertaining in parts with some fine scenery chewing but feels a bit outdated and almost like he's making a tribute film to his Lock, Stock & Snatch days.

The whole convoluted screenplay framing gimmick was a bit irritating as well.

Just watched an old film with a youngJames Stewart, Mr Smith Goes To Washington, good 1930s film about the US Senate and corrupt senator's. Good film, his first big one with some funny bits. Kind of interesting with a tneme of corruption, which would of course never happen in US politics.

Any one line ken loach? Got sorry we missed you ready to watch. Anyone seen it?
Yeah, I saw it at the cinema. You know what you're getting with Loach - and this one's just as watchable as the others. Only issue I had with it was I thought a lot of the supporting performances weren't up to scratch, which is unusual - Loach usually gets a tune out of first-timers, non-professionals etc.

While on Loach, Cathy Come Home is still jaw-droppingly powerful - nearly 55 years on.
