Got Dead Snow for the weekend which looks like an absolute riot.

Dead snow is great,completely daft,I have seen,so above,but honestly cant remember much about it,Troll hunter is a decent watch

Dead Snow is excellent. One of the best horror-comedies around imo.

Always rather have subs than dubbed

Went to see 1917 today.

One of the best films I have seen at the cinema. If you want to watch it, GO WATCH IT AT THE CINEMA. An absolutely brilliant piece of film, made to feel like you are part of the war tith the way it is filmed. Once you've watched it, watch the behind the scenes stuff, fascinating.

Excellent watch. One fault I would pick is I think they may have killed off one of the 2 too early . The dialogue between them would have made it even better .

Wouldn't have mentioned that in this thread, not while its new in cinema.

It's a true story fella, I agree having both would have been great as I think they were great on screen together, but ultimately it adds a lot to the remainder of the journey.

They could have used poetic licence I guess.

Gave Knives Out another watch, it's great, a few thing dont work second time around as you know what's coming but I also thought a few things that passed me by the first time were popped out, great film.

It's a true story fella

Is it? I'm not sure it is. It was certainly inspired by the tales that Mendes' grandfather told him but I think it's a fictional tale taking parts from a variety of real events.

Regardless it's a very good film though it felt a little like the film served the fantastic camerawork and editing rather than the other way round. It had a set-piecey feel with the changing locations jarring up against each other a little too harshly.

I'm staying in an El Royale style motel in Glenrowan, where Ned Kelly had his famous last stand. The reception has DVD copies of all the films and documentaries made about the famous bushranger over the years. I'm currently watching the mental one with Mick Jagger in the title role.

Haven't seen it yet, think it's on Netflix over here so I'll have to check it out. Got to be better than the Jagger travesty!
