Parasite is just the complete package, it's genuinely unique, has a great script, doesn't fit into any specific genre, is wonderfully shot and most importantly has subject matter that crosses cultures hence why it's blown up so much outside of the Asian market
Aye, it's very distinctive. I haven't seen 1917, but it does strike me as one of those films that was calibrated for an Oscar win. I have no doubt that it's excellent, but it is great to see an out-there film pick up the prize
Besides, 1917 had a Sikh or something in one of the scenes. Diversity gone mad.
