I more meant that he won all 4. Foreign language film and original screenplay were no surprise but I think Sam Mendes was a pretty big favourite for Best Director and 1917 had been the favourite for Best Picture for a while.

Anyway, amazing achievement.

Since Parasite only came out on Friday and the fact it's in a different language; there is probably a massive proportion of the UK who has never even heard of Parasite until today. Remarkable.

Watched Killer Joe last night. Came out near, if not at, the start of the "McConaissance". Joe is a cop-come-killer-for-hire, retained by a family to kill their mother for the insurance. This is really dark - very few of the characters have any redeeming qualities - but some great performances, especially from McConaughey and Thomas Haden Church make it a good watch.
